Replying tocr24ah I already removed everything from the world and replaced some things with my own, no…

what do you mean by this? like the structures themselves? I think if yOu are changing ore generation, ores can be more region specific like copper, tin, iron, etc. is rare when not in specific conditions that would be determined by the biome or terrain this would add a lot to the difficulty of progression, I think, and in a simple(?) way a few mods have done this that I can remember, but all of them are for older versions

I have removed everything from the vanilla worldgen and replaced it with my own

if you want to go hardcore earlygame, make ores only be found in veins, like in rl :malice:

there aren't little chunks of ore like usual, they are in veins, although soon I will be tearing those out for proper metaball based ore veins

    based ore veins indeed

    Oh yeah, another thing

yes, and several other blocks share the same/very similar names

May be an idea to override getName() to return the text string of the vanilla item/block. That way some things get named automatically for all languages

    thats not a bad idea

Replying tocr24right now copper can be found everywhere but tin and zinc are only in certain biomes…

oooh yes, that is what I meant by terrain it being just biome specific would completely end compatibility with biome mods and perhaps make this a far more tedious process there was one world generation mod that did this in like 1.14 I shall try to find it again as it could be useful to look at
