- DtHat was very difficult for me to figure out like making iron more difficult to access is necessary for a progression mod like this and it is not just as simple as making pickaxes more difficult to progress through, or making the bloomeries tiered there are loot tables from various things that also have to be considered one idea was to just change the entirety of loot chest spawns to remove iron ingots which does not seem easy and another would be to change how ingots are actually used, like a simplified tinkers construct so that way the process of crafting still requires advancing through earlier tiers and it remains a drawn out process08:47and then there is the issue of diamonds08:47which would require a different process08:51perhaps a gem cutting process could exist for diamonds, amethysts, etc. but just a new table feels less interactive compared to the bloomeries
- Dthe gap between iron and diamond always feels far smaller than the gap between flint and iron idk how large of an issue this is09:13pre-1.13 progression mods never seemed to really address this
- Cah I already removed everything from the world and replaced some things with my own, no loot chests spawn at all for now16:11but yeah I agree progression is a bit quirky in a lot of mods, so my approach is just to redo everything from scratch and then I can choose the progression more directly16:11I'm still primarily focused on the copper and bronze age but eventually iron, and then steel
