- M12:27will the 1.19.2 release work properly on minecraft 1.19.3, or should i wait until the mod is updated? I apologize if this is a really obvious question, i'm not very experienced with loading mods, especially content mods

It's very unlikely to work - M12:37Looks like I'll have to wait until the mod is updated to use it on my main world then
- D13:02its impossible
- NIt very unlikely to work. 1.19.3 made tons of small changes which affects everyone everywhere13:35For example registry
- D15:02the ones from aether 2 that are directional

Replying toDeleted UserI have made more aether-like cloud textures. Imo these fit better
but a more controversial change I want to add are these textures15:03I think they are much better15:04and makes clouds more useful15:04for entity transfer - D

Replying toDeleted Userit feels more aethery
aethery isn't really our design goals any more17:39Though if you'd like to make a texture pack that's more aether-ly then that would be great - Ci've been thinking a while about this, and large scale mods make me want to switch to forge (at least in singleplayer or less likely when playing with people that have more ram). every time something new gets added, more compatibility is required. and that basically has the potential to break half the game or it just won't launch. honestly if i ever play a new dimension or a mod that's more new and changes a lot i'm using forge. it might run worse on lower end computers, but at least it boots up without tinkering. TLDR honestly i get the appeal of fabric/quilt. not everyone has a $400-500 laptop/pc. but i really feel that forge can be a lot better than fabric or quilt in these situations. i really hope fabric quilt or even modrinth finds some way to fix these compatibility issues while keeping the fabric/quilt speed, cause whoever does it first will really change low end laptop/pc minecraft modding forever.

As of right now, I am the only active maintainer of Luna Pixel Studios modpacks. I am also paid as a developer. I spent over 5 hours on the newest Medieval MC Forge 1.19.2 update. Every single time I updated more than one mod at a time, I would crash with a model rendering error. Nine separate mod updates were causing the game to crash on startup because of one simple reason; Forge is not good(edited)23:42It was explicitly a forge issue. There are so many versions of forge and mod creators rarely disclose which their mods are compatible with. It is Hell. - C

- Cthere's a Forge bug that one of our developers, Fuzs_, is going to look into fixing at some point(edited)23:44the bug has been around for years and reported many times23:45Randomly, people will be unable to start their games or their servers because of a nightconfig "Not enough data available" error23:45the only fix is to completely reinstall, or delete the serverconfig folder(edited)

- C23:46It doesn't really matter that Forge has been around longer - it should! but in this case, it doesn't(edited)23:46its still a buggy mess and modders still don't like it23:46Fabric is already much more popular in the modding community than Forge, atleast from what I've seen23:47The most mods that any of our Forge modpacks have is 300, and it's in a 1.16.5 modpack that is meant to be unbalanced and have a high mod count our highest Fabric mod count is 315, in a Medieval-themed modpack that isn't meant to be extremely high mod count(edited)
