- obviously people who I can talk to directly will understand but the issue is most players don't know me personally and I can't convince them about the project's direction in this one on one fashion. I wasn't questioning your decision, I was just wondering about the "why" of this decision. I have my answer, and I agree with it: I probably would have answered "yes" too! I love these chests - and I'm sure (but who can read the future?) that Mojang will include something similar for the base game chests.- Ironic as fuck
- @Katie Oh, sorry, I didn't see that you kept talking below! (Time difference probably.) Personally, I never associated you with the "bad decisions" of Aether II. To me, this mod is a "whole", so I'm pointing at the mod and not at its developers - because, as you well show, the development of a project doesn't happen alone, and so it involves a lot of divergence. There was a lot of this kind of stuff on the "Tamriel Rebuilt" mod for Morrowind (a mod that is now 20 years old, and only halfway through its development, if not less, imagine that!) I wish you good luck for the future of your project, and be sure that, no matter the quality of the next versions, I will continue to test them to make my opinion on the long term.

i have been for like an hour nowguess im just unlucky :P- Imagining what might happen if we slept in the Aether with a bed, I wondered what alternatives there might be. So I started to imagine a bed made of Skyroot and Cloud. And I imagined lots of different beds: Normal bed (wool): you can sleep in it in the Aether, but it teleports you to your last bed in the overworld (if you never slept in the overworld, it teleports you to the bed closest to the spawnpoint, in a village). Convenient way to leave the Aether if you've lost your portal and have no more glowstone, and you don't want to jump into the void and risk losing all your stuff. Cold cloud Bed : allows us to sleep in the Aether. Can be used in the normal world but acts like an ordinary bed? Pink cloud bed : heals us completely after we sleep, and if we are completely healed and full before sleeping, we get extra hearts. Blue cloud bed: I had the same idea as for the pink bed originally. You can imagine that you get a jump boost effect, or something similar. Yellow cloud bed : we get a feather falling/slow falling effect or something else ? I also imagined beds with the clouds of the old versions of Aether. I have only this to do in my life? Green cloud bed (if added) : you are teleported in a random green bed. Behaves like a normal bed if there is only one green bed. Purple cloud bed (if added) : you are teleported to the bed where the purple bed is pointing (no matter what color it is). Acts like a normal bed if there is no bed in the dimension where the bed is placed. Or, a simple speed effect. Storm cloud bed (if added) : would cause a kind of "nightmares". You can only sleep in it during the day, allowing us to pass to the night - but it causes a storm and the appearance of many phantoms. Complicated to set up on a server I think.
