- MGot a quick question, I was working on a resource pack for the aether reborn, and I noticed that the jumping animation of the Aerbunny does some funky stuff to the rendering system, I didn't see an issue related to this on github, so that's why I'd like to ask: Is whatever is happening here a known bug or should I submit this issue to github?: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/759100347691827232/827872886391832586/2021-04-03_13-50-18.mp4(edited)13:50Currently using the latest build from curseforge btw13:50Which would be V1.0.1(edited)

- M14:13nothing cracks me up more than glitchy objects spazzing around14:15Just noticed that you can't jump out of berry bushes for some reason14:16Similar to cobwebs except at regular speed14:20Nice to know that this mod is still actively being developed btw, Gonna finish off BetterEnd support for my Resource Crops mod and then I'll look into adding Aether Support (
totally not just because I want to harvest aether resources myself, lol)(edited) - H

Lmao, somebody forgot to push and pop matrix stacks 😂 - MIt's been a while since I had to deal with that, but would something as simple as that like that be the cause of that issue?16:25Cause if that's all then I'm surprised I haven't seen this issue a million times before in other mods
- MAlso something I thought was worth mentioning in here is that I found out that you can use a / in the identifier I believe it's called. An example of how I make use of that in my Resource Crops Mod is this: crop_ae2/certus crop_aether/ambrosium_shard What this allows you to do is sort the blockstates and model/item/ folders. So with the examples I showed above it's now looking for these files: blockstates/crop_ae2/certus.json models/item/crop_ae2/certus.json blockstates/crop_aether/ambrosium_shard.json models/item/crop_aether/ambrosium_shard.json The only thing worth mentioning is that in the language file you need to use a
.instead of a/. The reason I'm mentioning this here in this server is because of the ludicrous amount of blocks that the Aether has, I'd imagine the blockstates folder starts to look a bit messy as you add more and more blocks. For the Aether you could do something like this: mossy_holystone/mossy_holystone mossy_holystone/mossy_holystone_stairs mossy_holystone/mossy_holystone_wall mossy_holystone/mossy_holystone_slab(edited)16:36bricks/holystone bricks/angelic bricks/hellfire etc.(edited)16:37For the end user it makes no difference at all, but it should make working with the files a lot easier16:38Alternatively you could just use a JSON Serializer so that you don't have to bother with JSONs at all if you know how to make that (unlike me who doesn't know how) - H17:10I use /'s in my IDs sometimes, but I didn't realize they resolved it properly for those things.

That would be happening because we have not released an update with the new aerbunny models - M
Replying toHaven KingWait, that works for model and BlockState folders?!
yeah it does, the block model path is defined in the blockstate json so you can always sort the block model folder, but using the method I just described you can use subdirectories in the blockstate and item model folder as well - M

Here's what the root of my blockstates folder looks like
18:53with everything related to <something> in 1 folder, in this case everything that's related to the aether

- Mthere's also blockstates and models for block that aren't even initialized, but hey that's normal when a mod is still being worked on19:48I know that my own mod sure has a lot of stuff for things that aren't registered yet, so at least I'm not the only one doing things like that19:48that and garbage code that's in need of a clean up in my case
