Have we surpassed the original yet?

Oh wait, I just remembered that I had a PL Moa in my dreams

It was blended tones of pinkish red and yellow, and had a fluffier, rounded looking head

Now I want to try and recreate it

I see that there's only a few textures on this, do other moa variants use different model files?

or is this more of a workspace?

so I just drag and drop the textures in while I'm working, all moas use the same model

I see my own texture!

though, only in name

it has the snowy owl texture over it

I can have both the texture editor and the model open at the same time

though, I remember being able to do this on the fly

that's about the shape I remember

the colors aren't correctly mapped

but I still think that looks decent

focused on the head still

considering the reference model was literally revealed to me in a dream, I think that turned out decently

still considering adding some golden highlights somewhere on the head, just not sure where

the eye kinda does it anyways

speaking of, one more blue pixel to color swap

might genuinely keep that

actually, new paint editing plan!

turns out that saving the .png file in paint.net immediately updates it in blockbench

it's super nice for editing textures like this

having a hard time with the contrast between the maroon and golden feathers on the wings

feels a bit plain as-is, but blending it with white makes it seem almost flesh-y if I think about it too hard
