It looks fine, tho yeah, I see what you mean by pearly green gemstone
I think it looks a bit desaturated considering the color of the ore block
And a bit more pearl like compared to the compacted block

yeah the ore used to be more white-ish but it blended too much with the stone color

Oh, the 2nd one? Its phosphopillite, its a cool gemstone, tho its pretty weak- I mainly remembered these because some shows Ive seen lmao

Um... It looks like a gem, but with the twist that it can be used for chains, thus it must be malleable, the only thing I can think of an anodized metal... this is the point where trying to use real logic on a game with a more fantasy leaning mod breaks(edited)

hmm I think I'll tweak some of the colors, I really like the blueish green of that earlier image you sent or even just the more greeny of the latest one

I also think I might change the shape... you've got a good point that it's kinda weird you can use it to make chains so some more fantasyish metallic material would be cool maybe. Idk yet lol either way thank you for the ideas and the image ref

You know what? considering the dimension comes about a bit after the nether, if the diamond stage got delayed, like "you cannot use diamonds cus we want you to have a longer game progression" it could work like an iron upgrade to increase its durability
~~Like, why is iron 6 times less durable than diamond in vanilla??~~ if it was used like some sort of component with iron to create stuff that last longer, it could still be like a gem and be used to create chains(edited)
tho- now that I think about it making all those changes would be a pain-
