I would also start modding, but Im only half good at texturing-
I have some ideas of my own, but... Im really bad at logically understanding the bases of math, and its like the most important thing for moding

Yeah getting the code right is the hardest part, I highly recommend checking out regular java coding guids to understand how java works, then reading a bunch of fabric documentation
theres some good walkthrough guides on their site that i used when I was first starting out, probably a lot more guides now
