Playing the BetterMinecraft modpack on a LAN server that meets once a week
I set up a separate base in the Aether (I see you're renaming it but typing Aether as that's what we refer to it as)
In my pen under my house I have two moas
Since it seems nobody in the server wants to go to the end, and thus receive elytras, I want to breed the moas and sell them to the overworld as an export to justify the existance of the base
For this, I need plenty of oranges
Where can I find oranges?

it breaks several mods and we have seen many cases of it corrupting worlds

selfhosting a server is extremely easy. go onto the modpack's curseforge page, download the serverpack, read the readme file. all you need to do is run the powershell file using powershell and you have a server. if you're all on the same wifi, you can join the server by typing localhost into direct connect
to transfer your world, just go into your saves folder on the PC that has it, open the folder named after the world, and copy the contents to the folder named world in the serverpack (manually create a folder named world if you want, so it will already be empty)(edited)
players will also be able to join from outside of your network using your public IPV4 address, as long as your router's ports are open (very easy to open ports, find a guide online for your specific router)

no idea! i just know several worlds have corrupted by using LAN and theres a lot of LAN-only crashes and general instabilities(edited)
it breaks a few performance mods i'm pretty sure, alongside how restricted it is vs just hosting a server normally

I don't know about Essential, but vanilla Open to LAN exposes the Integrated Single-Player server to your local network
This is different from a dedicated one

You're telling me my friend has been somehow joining me through Lan when he's a 15 minute walk away
So it isn't hosting a server on my pc

its not an actual LAN connection but it faces the exact same issues
our serverpacks are ridiculously easy to use
