the new terrain generation looks awesome, but maybe too polished and hilly? i miss flat grounds and the weirdness, overhangs, sudden sharp edges into the void, valleys... i can smell its math (edited)

just elaborating more on the feedback, maybe the island tails could be shorter, and their "y position" varied a bit more, i can match this "falloff line" and this rounded hilly shape everywhere basically
in this screenshot specifically, the island is streching very low and clipping

more variation would certainly be good
I should be able to offset all of the islands slightly randomly, and make the grass not stretch down all the way every time

but it does look awesome 🤯 ❤️ ... paired with more common and tamer formations, with more height variation, this would stand out so much... like the equivalent of overworld mountains
