why is highlands thicket the glitchy biome in 1.19 while highlands shield is the glitchy one in 1.18?
  2. cr24Team

because of large worldgen changes that had to be made during porting due to Mojang changing the way things work
  3. CloverSys

    alright
  4. cr24Team

it should be unrelated, thicket is just far more statistically likely to generate
  5. CloverSys

oh. so the seed won't change anything then
  6. cr24Team

    it is highly unlikely :(
  7. CloverSys

    and i thought i found a workaround
  8. cr24Team

probably, though I'm not sure. It likely would just be the same problem but with a different biome
  9. CloverSys

dang. so i just have to repeatedly make new worlds?
  10. cr24Team

it will pretty much always have the same problem, generating new ones will not really make a difference. The worldgen was changed last minute for the released version and wasn't tested enough so there is almost only thicket, and at least one biome doesn't generate at all sadly

    ah

to get a different world you probably will just have to wait for the next small patch would should be out soon, I've reworked a lot of worldgen and ensured everything is findable through exploration, with few cases of extremely large biomes or other bugs

ok i just wanna use 1.18.2 for now cause it has more mods. i might update later but for now i prefer this version. is there any previous version of the mod in 1.18.2 without this issue?
  14. cr24Team

to be honest don't recall significant issues with 1.18.2, there might be some bad seeds but if you'd like something more stable the biomes are a lot better distributed
  15. CloverSys

alright cause i get the glitch in 1.6.9
  16. CloverSys

i can, however find another biome if i search long enough in that version
