Hey guys, don't really know where to ask that question, but i'm currently doing my part on some translation, and I wanted to know, does the Highlands biome directly refers to the Highlands in UK or is it about highlands in general ?
  2. Jack PapelTeam

You'd have to ask @Azzyypaaras but it's more than likely highlands in general(edited)
  3. Drayannir

Alright, I guessed right then, I have some trouble with "Swedroot" now
  4. Jack PapelTeam

    @cr24 Any ideas?
  5. cr24Team

    it's highlands in general
  6. Jack PapelTeam

This might be a little outdated but this was the original concept for swedroot

  7. cr24Team

this is outdated, they're very much more a root nw
  8. Jack PapelTeam

    Ok
  9. cr24Team

but it's still sweet, and very much a root, I'm not sure how compound words are translated but swed-<root> ?
  10. Drayannir

Yeah swedroot is quite the tricky one
  11. Jack PapelTeam

What language are you translating to?
  12. cr24Team

I'd say if you want to play it safe, you can translate it as "sweet root"
  13. Drayannir

French, it didn't make sense with Swed-<root>, so can I go with the sweet root one ?
  14. Jack PapelTeam

    Sure
  15. cr24Team

    yes
  16. Drayannir

Ty, will come back if I have other questions, I just did Aercloud and it was an interesting one too
  17. cr24Team

👍 thank you for helping translate!
  18. Drayannir

No probs, I had some time to spare 🙂
  19. Drayannir

Oh yeah, just to know, by "packed swedroot", wdym by that ? Is it in a bundle, or something like that ?
  20. Jack PapelTeam

    It's packed into a block
  21. Drayannir

Alright, it changes a lot of thing
  22. Drayannir

It's me again, won't bother you too much but I have some trouble with the "Skyroot" term, I can come up with some names to do it in a pinch, but in that case I wanted to have your view on the names I came up with
  23. cr24Team

    sure
  24. Drayannir

Thanks. So we can do it the litteral way "racine du ciel" which literally means "skyroot" but sounds a bit odd in french or I came up with "racine céleste" which means "celestial root" but sounds better in french
  25. cr24Team

    I like that name
  26. AzzyypaarasTeam

    ooh
  27. Drayannir

    Glad you like it 😄
  28. Drayannir

Oh right @cr24 @Azzyypaaras for the "orange" part, like orange slaping, orange leaves etc, is it from an orange tree or is it literally orange
  29. AzzyypaarasTeam

    It is an orange tree
  30. Drayannir

Alright, ty, sorry to bother again 🙂
  31. cr24Team

you're fine don't worry about pinging over this kind of stuff :)
  32. Drayannir

I'm guessing Aechor plants are named after Ae- ( Aether ) -chor ( anchor ) because they cannot move ? 🤔
  33. cr24Team

I always thought it might be a reference to ichor
  34. Drayannir

    Oh yeah that make sense
  35. AzzyypaarasTeam

I have no idea what they are named after
  36. Drayannir

I should stick to Aechor then ? Doesn't seem too bad
  37. AzzyypaarasTeam

@Katie hello, I am using my "annoy oz" card
  38. cr24Team

    lol
  39. AzzyypaarasTeam

But I am genuinely curious now about where the name came from
  40. cr24Team

I think that Aechor is fine, since it is almost a proper noun
  41. Katie

Not sure on its origins honestly
  42. Drayannir

Yeah seems fine to me too, I kinda like the idea of plants born from a droplet of ichor 🤔
  43. AzzyypaarasTeam

    huh
  44. Drayannir

    Just my imagination don't worry
  45. cr24Team

google "rook" it's a type of bird
  46. Drayannir

    Aight, ty
  47. AzzyypaarasTeam

It is also a chess piece
  48. Drayannir

Yeah I knew that but I was wondering if it was something special in the mod 😁
  49. AzzyypaarasTeam

    oh it is special :malice:
  50. Jack PapelTeam

It's a scary thing that is hard to see at night
  51. Drayannir

The easter eggs will be hard to translate 😂
  52. Jack PapelTeam

    Oh yeah
  53. Drayannir

What does it relate to ? I can come up with something
  54. Jack PapelTeam

I actually don't know. But I'm pretty sure @CDAGaming added it
  55. CDAGamingTeam

Replying toJack PapelI actually don't know. But I'm pretty sure @CDAGaming added it

I actually didnt add that one
  56. Jack PapelTeam

  57. Jack PapelTeam

Interestingly, there's no records of this easter egg online from the original aether, even thought it is existent in it
  58. Drayannir

    Yeah it's odd
  59. cr24Team

    It's a type of moa
  60. Drayannir

Oh alright, don't know how to call it then
  61. cr24Team

pick something that refers to mint and sounds cool!
  62. Drayannir

I did pick the ones like common blue and goldenrod based on the butterfly and flower 🙂
  63. cr24Team

We just picked good sounding names based on the colors, so anything that sounds nice is great
  64. Drayannir

Moa Algus Bleu for common blue
  65. AzzyypaarasTeam

    mintgrass is an actual plant
  66. Drayannir

    Isn't it bentgrass ?
  67. cr24Team

is it a real plant? I thought it was just mint
  68. Drayannir

now I don't know if I should stick to the base names or create ones 😂
  69. cr24Team

    bruh
  70. AzzyypaarasTeam

    But erm, yes mint
  71. cr24Team

Replying toDrayannirnow I don't know if I should stick to the base names or create ones 😂

make a new one that references mint lol
  72. Drayannir

will be hard but i'll try
  73. cr24Team

here's all the colors, this might help a little bit
    Image shared by cr24
  74. Drayannir

Ah I knew it was about a fox and the pun was there :
  75. Drayannir

Hmm, I named the minthgrass moa "Moa Jadéite" which means "Jadeite moa", don't know if that pleases you ?
  76. cr24Team

    That sounds good
  77. Drayannir

Well, i'm done with French translation
