- F06:51it was downscaled

- G14:01instead of just regular stone
- J
- G
- S14:37It'd just be a retextured stone pick

- CI agree with @Gray just cause the original developers didnt do it doesnt mean you cant. This would help with immersion greatly having holystone/skyroot tool custom textures.15:10Like @Azzyypaaras said you want to make this a place where people want to make their base and want to live in long after the quests are complete...well immersion would help greatly with that15:11Plus imo (probably unpopular) its lazy to just leave them regular stone and regular wood. Its supposed to be a whole new dimension haha (;
- S15:12Having multiple variants of stick is just annoying

Replying toColdFlame53And it also drops the yellow gems when mining sometimes right? Lol
It did in the original aether. I don't believe it does here - C15:14Double thumbs down 😈

The original developers did do it :) we axed it - G

- C15:17How?
- JPerhaps not annoying, but it would have no purpose other than to be another type of item15:18Why have two separate items do the same thing?

- JAzzy has already come up with an aether pickaxe that should fill the role of the holystone pickaxe anyway, it just isn't in quite yet15:19But our current decision is that holystone and sticks will craft a stone pickaxe(edited)

- J15:20Probably shouldn't

This would only happen if DOUBLE_DROPS was in.15:23Atm, only the basics for that are in, but a lot of work is needed to make that work - J

- J15:26Even so, removing holystone tools doesn't conflict with that mechanic

- CEach type of tool has unique passive abilities. Skyroot doubles drops from naturally-generated blocks, Holystone has a chance to drop Ambrosium Shards, Zanite gets stronger as it's durability decreases, Gravitite (except for Swords) can send blocks flying from use on right-click at the cost of four durability, and Valkyrie has extended reach.15:28Right from the aether wiki

- J15:35In the /gamerule command, when doing /gamerule [gamerule], it should return what the gamerule is set to. Surely then it would have to send it to the client, right?

- AOn the topic of tools,
huh I think I never really agreed nor disagreed with that changeskyroot and holystone tools are gone for two main reasons. Firstly, logical consistency, nether materials do not produce unique tools thus there is no reason for the Aether's wood and stone to do so, secondly (and I feel more relevantly) compat, if a machine for a mod requires a stone tool to craft then you are not going to have problems because you only have holystone tools instead of normal ones.16:28Furthermore, the special abilities of the pair were... not great? Holystone tools dropping ambrosium shards clogs up the inventory and somewhat devalues ambrosium, whilst skyroot's ability is both too strong for the first set of tools you get and also too weak because... well, they are wooden tools, you can mine shitall with them and it takes a while.16:30The abilities of skyroot tools will come back in a manner related to flying boars, as for holystone... yeah that is just gone. - CI guess it comes down to preference. I use alot of ambrosium so that effect was great for me and double stone is very helpful early game. But to each their own.16:56You are after all the dev (; so what you say goes 😛

That is a dangerous stance to take with Azzy in particular. - C

- JI'm not sure there's a name for swet drop blocks in en_us.json actually, but that should be the only one20:44They don't have an item, so I don't think I remembered to put a translation

- JI put this in [id]: [name] formattxtlist.txtText file, 13 KB. Not stored in the archive.21:09This is from en_us, but formatted for neatness21:10some missing blocks are: swet_drop: Swet Drop blue_swet_drop: Blue Swet Drop golden_swet_drop: Golden Swet Drop purple_swet_drop: Purple Swet Drop(edited)21:10And that's about it, I think21:10hope this helps21:11Some things like dyed aercloud aren't in yet

- Y21:43the 1.17 version just.... doesn't start and instacrashes. Doesn't leave a crash report either.(edited)
- J
- Y21:44Can't find anything because they're all packaged in the mod anyways

No, as I said, doesn't leave a report. At all.21:44that's all I get - J

Replying toJack PapelIt looks like you have trinkets 3.0.0, is that correct?
Is it incompatible or something? I tried both with and without trinkets. This time though, I didn't. All I had was fabric API/aether (as I saw that trinkets was bundled) - C

Replying toJack PapelIt also appears that you are using fabric 1.17, but Aether 1.17.1
Oh, damnit. I thought the same principle from 1.16.4/1.16.5 fabric mods would carry over to 1.17 and 1.17.121:50Basically, 1.16.5 and 1.16.4 are so close to each other when it comes to the way it's coded that mods from either version are basically cross compatible - CNormally it would have, but due to trinket's issues you cannot use a 1.17.1 build of Aether on 1.17 (and vice versa)21:52Aditionally ,the 1.16.4 -> 1.16.5 principle does not apply to 1.17 -> 1.17.1, as 1.17.1 changed the protocol version, making it so you cannot play on a 1.17 server from 1.17.1 (and vice versa, unless using multiconnect or Via)
- Y21:54I just hope that updating the fabric launcher doesn't break every one of my other mods that I plan to have basically. (And before you ask, I made sure to just leave fabric API and aether in the folder before asking, that's what I was confused about)(edited)
- C
- YHm, so mods from 1.17 can (sometimes) work on 1.17.1, but not the converse(edited)21:56I'll keep that in mind
- C21:57In the case of trinkets, a naming from yarn changed that broke compatibility21:58The Aether itself was perfectly compatible and still is with 1.17.0, but trinkets wasn't and needed an update to fix it (Which eliminated 1.17.0 compatibility, unless you manually put in trinkets 3.0.0 in the mods folder)
