Replying toAzzyypaarasThe structures do be kinda ugly rn
They are just repaletted from vanilla - H
Replying toAzzyypaarasDid you fix structures not psawning in the right dimension?
I explained in the commit - A01:50Will read

Replying toHaven KingThey are just repaletted from vanilla
I have never seen either of those two in vanilla - H
- A01:51Finna need to do a sussy bussy check here 🥴

Replying toHaven KingJitPack is really not a great solution. I personally host mine on S3 cause it's stupid…
Gonna try to get S3 set up while I’m at work lol, got a tutorial you recommend to follow? - HSteps 1 & 2 here: https://tech.asimio.net/2018/06/27/Using-an-AWS-S3-Bucket-as-your-Maven-Repository.html Step 2 here: https://www.codinghub.net/article/using-an-aws-s3-bucket-as-a-maven-repository Should get you on the right track.

Using an AWS S3 Bucket as a Maven repositoryIn this we will learn, how to use an AWS S3 bucket as a Maven repository. Amazon S3 looks to be a good option for keeping private Maven repository or artifacts. It's an alternative to feature-rich Maven repository managers like Nexus and Artifactory. For Private artifacts, you might want to deploy your Jar or war files on the server and make sure...01:58Let me know if you have any issues. - E

- F02:15so what02:16A vanilla chest and a custom chest in a world have the same overhead as 2 vanilla chests in a world02:16it’s 2 object instances with 2 renderers02:16nothing special02:17Still binding textures twice, running render code twice, and drawn all at once like normal in the entity stage of rendering02:17Still 2 separate objects being ticked by the logical server
- ABut there are two chests and people's wants are not bound by logic. There will be chests just to have the look of the chests, not because it's storage.02:17So it's exponential, not linear
- F
- A02:18and I'm only using 1
- J02:18There's tons of door variants too but I only use oak

Replying toJack PapelThere's tons of door variants too but I only use oak
This is not like doors because chests are block entities and they also use block entity renderers(edited) - J

- JTheir argument was that if a player only needs one chest, they'll make one chest. However if there are 7 variants, they'll make 8 chests to have all the variants even if they don't need them02:21yeah I don't agree with it either

Replying torabidhyperfocusi personally dont really like the multiple wood chests thing, i think it clashes too…
While it goes against vanilla, it goes with the general modded consensus03:18A lot of biome mods add wood-variant chests, and mods adding variants for vanilla woods are a staple at this point03:18Plus, imho it adds to the immersion03:18All vanilla woods are some shade of brown or close to it - S
Replying toAzzyypaarasA lot of biome mods add wood-variant chests, and mods adding variants for vanilla woods…
like byg, betterend, betternether, terrestria and traverse i think(edited) - A

- A03:20Wisteria is the one closest to vanilla, being pretty much the aether's birch
- T
- A
Replying toTempestunless it would count the same as a normal chest for recipes
It would due to tags, however the previous thing is not a bad idea to ensure compat to less than well designed mods :3 - S
Replying toSweepSwaplike byg, betterend, betternether, terrestria and traverse i think
byg iirc only gives variant chests for the nether trees - S
Replying to🎀shayshay🎀byg iirc only gives variant chests for the nether trees
nope, i saw baobab chests03:23and they had adorn compat03:23speaking of which03:23that just came to my mind - A
Replying toSweepSwapspeaking of which
we will not have addorn compat as a part of hte mod - S

Replying torabidhyperfocusOH WAIT RIGHT addons are kind of just all .json files right?
That... no03:26Addons are, by general definiton, java mods03:26If it is all json it is either a datapack or a resource pack - R03:26OH
- S
Replying toAzzyypaarasIf it is all json it is either a datapack or a resource pack
resource packs also have images - A
- R
- A03:27Easy to confuse the two since they ultimately have very similar purposes
- J
- AA datapack adds stuff through the frameworks developers have, and do have very specific limitations03:28An addon, in the way generally used within modding, uses straight code to add onto or modify pre-existing mods, being much, much more flexible but also being entirely new mods rather than just zip files you can drop into your data/resource folders
- R
- AMore chests would be an addon because that would require adding blocks, something not possible through json03:30Well, to be more specific03:30Not possible through json without another mod adding support specifically for that or without hte mod being extended having a framework for adding more of a specific thing through datapacks(edited)03:30Sandwichable, for example, allows you to add cutting boards through json

Replying toJack Papeleverything can be classified by equations
But can you classify classifications by equations - A
- J
- A03:42Just think its cool
- J
- A
- J
- AOn it's own? IDK but if you include combinatorics there's stuff like Ramsey's Theorem, which is a bit of both. I have no idea what all of set theory is commonly on curriculum, the classes I took were from a for-profit school, so maybe it's a bit different. But you probably know greater than 90% of it already.(edited)
