- E01:28is this still a very big work in progress mod?
- C01:31every other tool and block in the mod will have a recipe if it is supposed to
- H
Replying tocr24the holystone and skyroot tools are going to be cut in the next update
To clarify, you will be able to craft regular wooden and stone pickaxes with skyroot planks and holystone. - F

can you just take away the recipe and have them implemented still - C02:46but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have a seperate stone tool just for another dimension given the fact that we don't have blackstone tools or fungus tools
- S02:46well there is a mod for it
- C02:46nether fungus
- S02:47but i'd like to have the aether tools stay there with no way to get them other than commands, just for asthetic purposes(edited)
- Cno? my point is that after the nether update, you can now craft wood and stone tools with crimson/warped stems and blackstone, so it should be similar for the aether02:48we can probably do something like that
- S
- Chttps://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Huge_fungus they definitely are fungus but that's beside the point
Minecraft Wiki
Huge fungusHuge fungi are tree-like structures added in the Nether Update that generate in the Nether. There are two types of huge fungus: huge crimson fungus and huge warped fungus. - S

So I haven't followed any Aether development since they changed ;all textures, removed the original mobs and added disgusting new ones, also restarting in the Aether and not having any way of turning that off; so maybe the reason for removing the skyroot/holystone tools is because GildedGames removed them or something, But why on earth are those tool materials going to be removed? - K
- M17:17but imo it's very simple: aesthetics17:19But that's the beauty of modding, if a mod doesn't have them then I could do 3 things: 1. Deal with it. 2. Complain about it. Not that's going to help but it's not uncommon for people to complain when something is done that they don't like. or 3: Make it myself.(edited)

If The Aether was another Minecraft update
- M
Replying tokalucky0We just want to make our Aether version as much Mojang like as possible
That explains the texture style, oof17:21Like they're good textures don't get me wrong - Cthere will likely be a alternate resource pack I am going to release that has all legacy textures17:22but the textures were rather out-dated and conflict with the modern updated style, compared to the programmer art era
- M
Replying tocr24there will likely be a alternate resource pack I am going to release that has all legacy…
I already have that mostly done - C

I did change A LOT of Block JSON models to reconfigure the texture paths, used that to sort the texture folder a bit17:26Btw I noticed there's no Enchanted Gravitite/Gravitite Block, is that going to get added? Not sure if the actual original Aether even had that - C17:27but yes there should be a gravitite block eventually, as well as a cheaper floating block that uses gravitite maybe
- MSomething I do know that the Aether never had is Ambrosium Shard Blocks, but a while back I used an addon mod for the forge version of the Aether that added a bunch of neat QoL blocks. Like doors, trapdoors, bars, etc. for Zanite and Gravitite. That aswell as an Ambrosium Shard block(edited)
- CThat would be a good parity feature with the existence of coal blocks and iron doors trapdoors etc17:31there are zanite lanterns and chains coming in the next update already
- MAlso not sure if this is something people would want to have but I found a way to automate loot_tables without ARRP, I personally used that to automate my crop loot_tables17:32I only need to create a JSON file with the name that the game expects it to be and fabrics own function for loot_table callbacks adds stuff to them17:33So if the JSON contains JUST this:
Then it works{ }17:34just copy paste that and rename it, at least it saves having to edit the information within the JSONs themselves17:36I'm soon going to drop this system and switch over to ARRP for that aswell, but would anyone here be interested in having that function in the Aether to at least make sure all blocks drop something(except stuff like quicksoil glass, just don't create a JSON for that one) - C
- M
Replying tocr24I have a few python scripts I use to populate json files and I verified that everything…
I noticed quite a few blocks in the current released version (V1.0.1) that didn't drop anything, like the berry bushes and all leaves for example(edited)18:14Good to know that's fixed in the next version - M
Replying tomeme_man_not_avaSo if the JSON contains JUST this: { } Then it works
Not that mine are actually completely empty, lol(edited)
18:16pointless but who cares - Care you sure blue berry bushes don't drop blueberries? the loot table seems correct and should be in the last update on march 15th19:03i can't test atm
