because forge changes the minecraft code instead of just injecting into it like fabric does with mixins

just because the loader runs on it doesnt mean the mods will
the loader is cross compatible, but mods need to be written for each game separately
and they might need an api

but yeah asking fabric devs for a forge port is like asking a blacksmith to use a stone hammer instead of a steel one because "all of our friend tribes use stone hammers" "stone hammers are easier to use" "we dont know how to use steel hammers"
