- Hi, hello, question, is it possible to create a datapack that changes the drop of a mined block? Or is it easier to just create a mod for that?I was thinking of creating a datapack that would make people feel like there was less clutter in the game One part would be by changing block drops to a more general thing or to only allow certain things to be obtained if the person is crouching

NiceEarlier today I was looking at a website to make datapacks, but I didn't find anything that resembled something related to that(edited)- what you are looking for is "loot tables". here is a simple one for Pumpkin as an example. you could put this in the right location in the datapack and change minecraft:pumpkin to minecraft:oak_planks. now any time a pumpkin is mined, it drops oak planks https://misode.github.io/loot-table/?version=1.21&preset=blocks/pumpkin

Cus I want oceans with algae floors- Basically the process goes like this1) create a scoreboard objective that follows the Minecraft statistic of sneak time2) check if the sneaking objective is more than 0 (you may need to make a seperate objective that is set to 0 for this, just remember that you don't have to put a, real player in the "player" value of the command3)tag them with a tag like "isSneaking"4) reset the value of the scoreboard objectivethen you can use that tag to trigger the things you want
