My hope is one day we get data driven blocks
kinda like bedrock addons ig
but I'd love to make a datapack with custom blocks now that custom items are basically solved
though, custom items I'd take too

we'll get data driven blocks someday i'm sure
in 2027 maybe

Replying tocr24My hope is one day we get data driven blocks
I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT
Now that I think about it, that would basically help migrating mods from forge or fabric to something that's able to be loaded by vanilla

yeah, i think modding endgame is someday that 80% of mods will just be data+resourcepacks
