Hello, I have a question for anyone that knows. If I were to add a mod that adds more ores and i get on a pre-existing world would the ores load in or would they not exist?
  2. cr24Team

they would only be generated in new chunks

Ahh, so if I travel to an area that's never been explored/loaded then the new ores would exist there?
  4. cr24Team

    yup

Does the same logic apply to mods that add biomes?
  6. cr24Team

not 100% sure but it should be the same

Tbf it should be true for all generation stuff

new worldgen content should only be present in chunks generated with the mods installed,

If I were to apply these kinds of mods to a dedicated server would that cause an issue or are chunks loaded based on where players have been?(edited)
  10. cr24Team

chunks only load where players have been, it'd be fine

    Alrighty, thanks. :))

One small detail is that in a certain radius around the world spawn, chunks are loaded at the creation of the world. But that usually doesn't affect much, and the radius isn't too large
