imagine if when 1.18 comes out, the aether generates with 1.18 caves
  2. Necro

Did anyone try regenerating the aether by deleting the file from world data?

Replying toGrayimagine if when 1.18 comes out, the aether generates with 1.18 caves

Our intent with 1.18, is to have it be as 1:1 as possible with todays release.
  4. Gray

    oh shite i just remembered
  5. CDAGamingTeam

At least for 1.6, in order to maintain compatibility Afterwords, we'll move on to 1.7 and 1.8 for 1.18
  6. Gray

mfw i'm gonna be stuck on 1.17
  7. Gray

because my mods STILL haven't updated
  8. CDAGamingTeam

As removing the aether folder in your world will let it regen when you try to reload it again(edited)
  9. Necro

A lot of us may be waiting for 1.18 due to odd mods not getting updated yet
  10. Gray

two of my mods from 1.16 still haven't updated
  11. CDAGamingTeam

Well, I will say, 1.6 for 1.17 will be supported for a good long while, since the 1.6 ports are planned to be as close as possible, so itll be trivial to backport most fixes and adjustments once 1.18 becomes the development branch
  12. Necro

Not to be opinionated, but i fail to see the 1.18 hype
  13. Gray

its adding new generation to the caves
  14. CDAGamingTeam

I share that tbh, even with Antvenom praising it too: 1.17 contained all those world changes with the caves
  15. Necro

got a mod for that. 😛
  16. Gray

some nerds on bedrock would say "wHaT aBoUt uS"
  17. CDAGamingTeam

The main thing with it though, is 1.18 is basically making terrain as dynamic as it once was in much older versions
  18. Gray

thus the cave update is born
  19. CDAGamingTeam

But at a cost of majorly warping the existing generation code
  20. Necro

    yeah.
  21. CDAGamingTeam

My hope is, this terrain logic sticks this time
  22. Necro

    RIP Archaeology
  23. Gray

    i think that stays in?
  24. CDAGamingTeam

tbh, Archaeology fits more as amod, not in vanilla
  25. Necro

Yeah, a lot of newer stuff seems like modded content recently
  26. Gray

i'm just waiting for the day that command blocks can simulate a thirst function without using the XPbar
  27. CDAGamingTeam

I mean tbf, mod devs DO work in mojang

I will say, I loved Brandon's showcase over the newer warden encounter, the delay there was much worth it.
  30. Gray

thousands of other functions, or are forge
  31. Necro

I use Dehydration for Fabric, it's not too bad.
  32. CDAGamingTeam

    xD It's coming soon
  33. Gray

    1.20 be like
  34. Necro

warm biomes need some love imo (Archaeology anyone?) and also the end dimension could stand for some of that love
