mojang doesn't take as huge of risks as they used to i don't think
most of the stuff added in the modern day has been heavily requested, such as the cave update
which was like the most popular suggestion for a while

Just watched the mob vote videos. I think before I was rooting for the glare but it's maybe at the bottom of my list now

But from the video by mojang it doesn't seem like it will have those cool eyes
Also doesn't seem too useful tbh. It's usually pretty obvious when it's too dark for mobs to spawn - especially now that it's light level 0
Also doesn't really need to be a whole mob. Could just be some eye "particles" that pop around dark places
