gudenau03:29
I ripped a trace trying to mod it.
SweepSwap03:30
like a hardware mod?
gudenau03:30
Yeap.
I did a Switch and then tried that, the Switch works.
SweepSwap03:30
yeah i love how nintendo consoles are way easier to defeat
you don't have to mess with the console
gudenau03:30
I had to solder onto the bloody CPU of the Switch but soldering onto the board of the 360 somehow defeated me.

bruh
you have to solder onto the cpu to mod the switch?
AzzyypaarasTeam03:31
Nah, that's just the based way of doing it 😎
~~don't quote me I have never modded any consoles~~
gudenau03:31
For some of them, you have to solder onto the CPU substright.
Any new ones need hard mods.
SweepSwap03:32
like latest gen?
gudenau03:32
Only consoles within ~2 years of launch can be softmodded, but then you need to plug it into something every time you boot it.
SweepSwap03:32
what do you mean by plug it into something
gudenau03:33
Into a computer, an Android phone or a dongle to boot it.
The softmod uses a bug in the bootloader.
SweepSwap03:33
what exactly does a softmod do?
gudenau03:34
Everything the hard mod does, just tethered.
It just works on all consoles to date.
Hard mods that is.
