The project is gaining a lot of traction, which is good, I think. To answer some common questions. I know that assets are ARR, we are already working on our own textures and models which will fit better to the new Minecraft look. I'm also aware that other teams and/or people are working on updating The Aether, but I do it for fun and to learn, I don't really care if I'll be the first one to present you Aether for 1.16.3. And lastly, no, I'm not using Windows XP. It's Windows 7 with Classical Windows theme. Why? Because it's not as harsh on my CPU as Aero theme is.
